About

This blog is created on 19th December 2010. Inspired by my friend's blog titled My Elegant Universe (thestandardmodel.blogspot.com), which talks about physics, astronomy, and science in overall, I had an idea that I can also share with you what I have learned in the course of studying electrical and electronics engineering.

In my life of studying E&E, I have come across a handful of interesting facts, knowledge, and most importantly, technology. From the basic building blocks of digital age to the microscopic integrated circuit, electrical and electronics are changing very fast, and they are becoming more and more prominent in the world. Almost everything you see and touch everyday - your handphone, laptop, MP3 player, radio, and much much more - contains at least some electronics. Even the humble rice cooker or digital watch has a very complicated circuitry inside it!

The world is moving into the digital age at an alarming pace. Soon, the world will be substituted by digital, even though every fundamental physics in this world is analogue in nature. This blog is created to share my (rather limited) knowledge about electrical and electronics with you and acquaint you with it, and hope that I do not bore you to sleep!

The blog has received an overhaul on June 7, 2012 after a year-long hiatus. An idea has popped up in my mind recently: Instead of focusing on what the current technology is all about (which I have had troubles keeping up), the blog will be a series of logs for my hobby projects, including the set up and all the troubleshooting. This will ensure that the blog is unique and at the same time act as a programming logbook for me that I can reflect in the future.

[May 7, 2014]
I have not been actively blogging for quite a long time, a neglect which I put the blame on microblogging sites. Recently, I am trying to rekindle my blogging interest. On May 7, 2014, 23 months (gasp!) after the last update, I decided to refresh the blog. The name is slightly changed (from The Bit that Nibbles to Bit and Nibble) to match the URL, but the most important factor is that I have an idea to use this blog as some sort of additional guide/tutorial to my hobby projects.

Few days ago, a viewer of my Youtube channel emailed me with some questions regarding a hobby project I have done. While I was replying him with extra details on how the codes function, I decided to publish that as a post here.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading my blog, and share with me if you have comments, suggestions, questions. or random rants. Comments are subjected to approval, but don't let that stop you from leaving one! ;)
